Empties #9 - July 2013

I have another empties post for you. I’ve used a few products this month and some different types too. So let’s get in to them:- *Ted Baker Body Spray in Origami – 150ml This is a strong woody scent and it is quite feminine and it does smell nice, but it is not my typical scent. I enjoyed using it and it does linger on your skin, but I will not be re-purchasing it. I have already reviewed it here . Price - £5 Listerine Total Care Mouthwash in Clean Mint (Purple) – 500ml I’ve used up another bottle of my current favourite mouthwash! This mouthwash leaves your mouth feeling really clean and I will continue to re-purchase. Price - £4.60 Soap & Glory Clean, Girls™ Body Wash – 500ml This was my first bottle of this scent and it is my favourite Soap & Glory body wash. I love it because it is in my beloved Mist You Madly scent! It is expensive for a body wash but it is very creamy and it lathers really well, but most of all it lasts for ever. I won’t be re-pur

My 3 Face Primers

As you can tell from the title, I am going to review three face primers. These are so far the only ones I have tried and thought I would share my opinions on them. They are all from the drugstore and very inexpensive. Rimmel Fix & Perfect PRO I was looking to try a face primer and a YouTube Beauty Guru mentioned she loved this one, so I decided to give it a try. The packaging is slightly thick and made of white plastic with navy blue detailing on the front with the logo and all the relevant information on the back. It has a cylindrical navy blue cap and a raised short and wide nozzle, which dispenses the product when you squeeze the tube. The formula is very light and smooth. You get 30ml of product in the tube and the product is in a white cream gel form. This product has a 5-in-1 claim, which means it should, Smooth, Resurface, Brighten, Mattify and Protect, so it is supposed to glide onto your face and make it easier for you to apply your foundation. Your

Review: Love, Words & Puzzles

Today I am going to review two Impulse scents that I haven’t previously tried before. I had seen these when they first came out, but decided I wasn’t really interested in them! I happened to be shopping one day and saw them and just decided to pick them both up to try out. They also sound like they are part of the same line, so I thought it would be a good idea for me to review them in one post. Loving Words The can design I have is a kind of jade colour, which is the main base colour. Underneath the logo there are a lot of different coloured words making up a heart. All the permanent scents have since had their cans re-designed. This can is now white based with a jade green bottom design with lilac flowers. The new design is very girly and it is nice, but not as eye-catching as the design of the can I currently have! You get 75ml of product in the can. The fragrance notes are:- Violet & Raspberry This scent smells really fruity, florally, sexy and fresh. The

MUA Power Pout Colour Intense Tint & Balms

I first saw these products on the MUA blog and I instantly knew I had to try them because they are the sort of lip product I am interested in. Bold colours but suitable if you are afraid of colour because they are not as powerful as your standard lipstick, so right up my street. The packaging is like most chubby lip crayons. It has a chubby plastic barrel and the colour of each barrel reflects what the shade is. It has the silver band around the base of the barrel and the plastic lid, which is also the same colour as the barrel. For application you twist the silver band and the product will push up through the barrel. The tip of the crayon is pointy and slightly skinny and the formula is light and glossy. I’m not sure exactly how much product you get, but if you twist it up completely you can see 3.5cm of the product and there could be more hidden in the barrel, which may require the use of a lip brush to get it out. There are currently six shades available which include, B

Perfume Power! - Soap & Glory™ 'Eau De Soap & Glory'

I bought this because I already had the first Soap & Glory perfume and I really loved the Mist You Madly line scent. The bottle is cuboid shaped and made of opaque black glass. It has a regular perfume spritzer and the cap is clear plastic and T shaped with a pink woollen sash wrapped around the base. On the front of the bottle there is a pink foiled sticker with the Soap & Glory logo. The fragrance notes are:- Bergamot, Cassis, Magnolia, Freesia, Vanilla & Musk This perfume is a strong florally and musky scent. It is quite sweet, but not overpowering. The bottle is also a classic design, so you can re-use as decoration if you peel the sticker off the front. It is the Formula 2 scent, which is what some of Soap & Glory products smell like (The Daily Smooth, Clean Girls, Mist You Madly etc.). I can really smell the bergamot, freesia and musk. It has a sort of masculine smell and does last for a while on your skin. It is a must have if you love the Mist
