Glossybox #5 - April 2012

My April Glossybox arrived this morning, well I had to fetch it because the stupid postman left it in front of my front gate and left the gate wide open, so I’m surprised someone didn’t take it! It is another limited edition box, I’ve only received one regular box since I’ve been subscribed. This box is their Natural Beauty Box, with natural and organic beauty products only and the actual glossybox box is bio-degradable, so it is Earth friendly. CAUDALIE Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum - 10ml Sample Size The beauty card says that this product is a “newly-launched ultra-concentrated serum” and is “plant-based, ensuring your skin never lacks moisture”. This product smells really nice, but I’m not sure that it is something I would incorporate into my face routine, but I’ll look into what a serum actually is and what the benefits are, so I will be trying it soon! It is a 10ml size, but Caudalie samples are never how much they say they are I’ve had a sample before and ther

NO Followers :(

Most of you that come across my blog will notice that I do not have any followers, but I carry on blogging regardless! Why? I here you ask, I’m going to explain why. I started my blog because I always see comments on the internet, especially on YouTube videos asking for suggestions on the best beauty products to buy, and I buy and have tried quite a few of them, so instead of typing a short reply I thought it would be better to blog about them, so I can leave a link, plus I will be able to look back to see what I thought of products so I know whether I’ve tried similar products before. Plus before I buy a product I like to see swatches on Google images, and I try to take photos for most of my posts, so if someone is like me, they can type a product into images and one of my photos might pop up, it’s all about helping someone really, because swatches are the major influence for me, seeing as though I like to buy higher end palettes, so if I am going to spend the money I need to s

NOTD #3 - Look At Me In Lincoln Square

I decided to try out a couple of nail polishes today, one I bought last year and the other yesterday. NYC In A NEW YORK Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in Lincoln Square Lavender – it is just a really soft, milky, matte, pastel lavender colour. I did two coats of this colour. I bought this colour last year for £1.79 from Superdrug. Collection 2000 HOT Looks Fast Dry Nail Polish in Look At Me (59) – it is just a yellow toned milky green, which reminds of a colour by OPI from the Shrek collection. I did five coats of this colour. I bought this colour yesterday for £1.79 from Morrisons (UK), and it is actually a brand new colour and I am also after the shade called Electric Dreams – which is a turquoise/teal colour.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

I actually did a review and trial of the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in March 2011 for my other blog and since I no longer have that blog I thought I would post the review here, as my opinions of it have not changed, plus it is a post on something other than a haul. This is an overall review of the product and my experience during the 30 day trial. REVIEW I first heard about this mascara on YouTube as a few Beauty Gurus were receiving them for free to test ahead of the actual launch of the mascara, so when it became available in stores I had to get one and trial it myself. Rimmel claims this is a “ mascara and lash treatment in one that works both instantly, and overtime. The advanced ultra-lengthening formula instantly makes lashes appear up to 80% longer. Over time, the unique Grow-Lash Complex strengthens, nourishes and renews lashes to promote natural lash growth for up to 117% longer looking lashes after 30 days. ” I bought mine in black and you get 7ml of

Haul: CheapSmells + More!

Hello, yesterday I received the two perfumes I ordered from CheapSmells.com, one I have smelt before I love it and the other I bought to try. I bought DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom (30ml) for £22.95. I actually bought this for my sister’s birthday last year and quite liked it myself, as we had tested it way before her birthday. At the time I was still in college and didn’t have a job so I couldn’t justify spending that money on myself, when I already had a lot of perfume, plus my sister got to have it as her ‘exclusive smell’ for the year, and now it’s MY turn! lol J Lastly I got Aquolina Pink Sugar (30ml) for £13.95. I had heard all the hype about it on YouTube and I knew I wouldn’t be able to find it in the UK, but I happen to have found it whilst I was looking at other perfumes on CheapSmells, so I was happy! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew it would smell quite sweet. And I actually don’t like it. The bottle is very cute, but the scent makes me feel a little qu

TAG - 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

Photo: shivangi-coolchicsmashing17.blogspot.com Hello, I am going to do my first TAG today; I just thought it was something different to do and break up all the hauls I tend to do. I changed the LUST question slightly because it said “What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex” and some people don’t find the opposite sex attractive, some people like the same sex, so I changed it to potential partner. I chose those words because if it said same sex that could just mean what’s your favourite feature of someone of the same sex of you, I could say hair, but it doesn’t mean I find women sexually attractive, it just means I like some hairstyles/hair colours on women and not on myself. GREED What is your most expensive beauty item? - Make-up wise the Urban Decay Naked2 Palette and in general probably the Nicky Clarke Jewel Collection hair set, which includes a hair dryer and straighteners. What is your least expensive beauty item?

Lovely Easter Gifts!

I just thought I would share with you one of my Easter gifts. I actually got it yesterday because it was from my Auntie, Uncle and Cousins and they live in Nottingham, where as I live in Lincolnshire. I don’t really celebrate Easter because I am Agnostic/Atheist, but my family still give gifts/Easter eggs and receive them, because there are some family members that celebrate/believe. Because of my age I don’t receive much chocolate/sweets; me and my sister tend to receive money or small gifts on special occasions. Me and my sister received similar items. The gifts came in a Soap & Glory gift bag, which I love. Inside there was a Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Fragrance in G (10ml), I am not sure which collection it is from, but G has curled short blonde hair with a black bow headband and is wearing a crop top and mini skirt with stockings, she is so cute. There was also a Max Factor make-up pouch, which contained a, Get The Look! Tips leaflet, Save £3 voucher on Max Factor

Look Fantastic Haul #1

Hello, I am going to share with you some nail polishes I bought from LookFantastic.com. I received them yesterday and they are my new obsession, ESSIE. I mainly look for the mini four piece polish collections from Essie, because they are not very expensive and they are small, which is good for me because I tend to love colours when I buy them and then go off them when I buy another, this way I have more chance of using one up and trying many different shades. I got the Summer 2011 Collection for £11.85, which consists of four shades called, Braziliant, Smooth Sailing, Super Bossa Nova and Meet Me At Sunset. I know this collection is quite old, but the colours appealed to me, plus other collections from last year had really light colours and I am more into pastel bright colours. My favourite colour from this collection is Braziliant. I also bought a full size of Olé Caliente for £5.95, which is quite inexpensive for an Essie polish in the UK. I actually got this shade in ano
